King of Prussia – Motorists in Bucks and Montgomery counties can expect to face daytime lane closures next week on County Line Road, Route 202 (DeKalb Pike) and Route 63 (Welsh Road) for ongoing Route 202 Parkway construction, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation announced today.
County Line Road in Montgomery and New Britain townships will be reduced to one lane between Stump Road and Kingston Way in Montgomery and New Britain townships on Monday through Friday (Jan. 23-27) from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. for the relocation of a water line.
Drivers in Upper Gwynedd, Lower Gwynedd and Montgomery townships will encounter slow-moving traffic and periodic lane closures on Route 202 (DeKalb Pike) from Swedesford Road through the intersection with Route 63 (Welsh Road) on Monday through Friday (Jan. 23-27) from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. for the installation of highway camera and message sign poles and road widening activities.
Occasional lane closures also may occur on Route 63 (Welsh Road) between Stump Road and Route 202 (DeKalb Pike) on Monday through Friday (Jan. 23-27) from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. for installation of drainage pipes and inlets.
Drivers should anticipate delays and add extra time for travel through the construction areas. All planned activities are contingent on the weather.
PennDOT is investing more than $200 million in state funds to build the nine-mile long Route 202 Parkway in Bucks and Montgomery counties and to improve roads approaching the Parkway’s entrances.
PennDOT reminds motorists they can log on to 511pa.com or call 511 from any phone to check traffic conditions on major highways before heading out. |
