|
|
King of Prussia – Motorists traveling on County Line Road and the Route 611 and Route 202 bypasses in Bucks County will encounter lane closures next week (Jan. 30-Feb. 3) for Route 202 Parkway construction, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation said today.
Flaggers will direct an alternating single lane of traffic through a work zone on County Line Road between Stump Road and Kingston Way in New Britain Township, Bucks County, and Montgomery Township, Montgomery County, on Monday through Friday (Jan. 30-Feb. 3) from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. for water line construction.
In Doylestown Township, Bucks County, intermittent nighttime lane closures will occur on Monday through Friday (Jan. 30-Feb. 3) from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. on the northbound and southbound Route 202 Bypass between the Route 611 and Main Street exits, and on northbound and southbound Route 611 Bypass between Edison-Furlong Road and the State Street exit. Crews will work at night to remove old sign structures and install new ones for the Route 202 Parkway.
Daytime lane closures also may occur in Upper Gwynedd, Lower Gwynedd and Montgomery townships, Montgomery County, on Monday through Friday (Jan. 30-Feb. 3) from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on:
• Route 202 (DeKalb Pike) between Swedesford Road and Route 63 (Welsh Road) for installation of electronic message poles and for road widening; and
• Route 63 (Welsh Road) between Stump Road and Route 202 (DeKalb Pike) for excavation and road construction.
Drivers should anticipate delays and add extra time for travel through the construction areas. All planned activities are contingent on the weather.
PennDOT is investing more than $200 million in state funds to build the nine-mile long Route 202 Parkway in Bucks and Montgomery counties and to improve roads approaching the Parkway’s entrances.
