• TRAFFIC SWITCH SCHEDULED FOR ROUTE 63 NEAR US 202 |

King of Prussia - Motorists in Upper Gwynedd, Lower Gwynedd and Montgomery townships Montgomery County, can expect to encounter slow-moving traffic and lane closures for construction on Route 63 (Welsh Road) between Stump Road and North Wales Road on Monday (Dec. 19) from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation said today.
Crews are scheduled to paint traffic lines and move Route 63 (Welsh Road) traffic onto the newly-widened westbound side of the highway on Monday (Dec. 19). Motorists are advised to allow extra time or use an alternate route for travel through the work area during this operation, which is weather dependent.
In addition, periodic single-lane traffic patterns will be in place Monday through Friday (Dec. 19-23) from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. for roadwork on Route 202 (DeKalb Pike) between Swedesford Road and Route 63 (Welsh Road), and on Route 63 (Welsh Road) between Stump Road and North Wales Road.
In Warrington and New Britain townships, Bucks County, lane closures will occur Monday through Friday (Dec. 19-23) from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Upper State Road between County Line and Pickertown roads for widening at intersections.
Traffic on Route 152 (Limekiln Pike) between Stump Road and Route 202 (Butler Avenue may encounter occasional short-term lane closures Monday through Friday (Dec. 19-23) from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. to complete “punch list” items in the area PennDOT widened to improve access to the Parkway.
Drivers should anticipate delays and add extra time for travel through the construction areas. All planned activities are contingent on the weather.
PennDOT is investing more than $200 million in state funds to build the nine-mile long Route 202 Parkway in Bucks and Montgomery counties and to improve roads approaching the Parkway’s entrances.
