• US 202 NIGHT LANE CLOSURES IN WEST GOSHEN
Thursday, February 02, 2012

King of Prussia – Nighttime lane closures are scheduled on northbound and southbound Route 202 between the Westtown Road and Route 100 interchanges in West Goshen Township, Chester County on Monday through Friday (Feb. 6-10) from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. for the removal and installation of overhead sign structures, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation announced today.

PennDOT advises motorists to allow additional time for travel on this part of Route 202 during construction or use an alternate route because backups will occur.

The sign structure work is part of PennDOT’s $19.3 million project to rehabilitate and resurface 4.3 miles of Route 202 between the Route 100 Interchange and High Street. Construction began in May 2010 and is scheduled to finish in May 2012.

Allan A. Myers, LP of Worcester, Montgomery County is the general contractor on the $19,377,081 project that is financed with 100 percent federal ARRA funds.

PennDOT reminds motorists they can log on to 511pa.com or call 511 from any phone to check traffic conditions on Route 202 and other major highways before heading out.
