King of Prussia – Nighttime travel restrictions are scheduled next week on Route 202 between the Route 422 and Route 29 interchanges in Tredyffrin and East Whiteland townships, Chester County, for construction, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation announced today.
Lane closures will occur on southbound Route 202 at the Old Eagle School Road overpass in Tredyffrin Township, located just south of the Route 422 exit, on Monday and Tuesday (Sept. 17-18) from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. for the installation of conduit for Intelligent Transportation System components.
An operation to install a drainage pipe at the Route 29 Interchange in East Whiteland Township will close the northbound right lane on Route 202 from 8 p.m. Thursday (Sept. 20) to 5 a.m. Friday (Sept. 21).
In addition, the Matthews Road on-ramp to Route 202 North in East Whiteland Township will be closed and detoured Saturday, Sept. 22 from 12:01 a.m. to 10 a.m. for the installation of a drainage pipe. The posted detour will direct motorists to follow Route 29, then proceed west on Swedesford Road to reach the ramp to Route 202 North.
This work is part of PennDOT’s $105 million project to rebuild and widen Route 202 between the Chesterbrook and Route 401 interchanges in Tredyffrin and East Whiteland townships, Chester County.
PennDOT reminds motorists they can log on to www.511pa.com or call 511 from any phone to check traffic conditions on Route 202 and other major highways before heading out. |
