King of Prussia – Construction of the new Route 202 Parkway will result in off-peak travel restrictions next week (April 30-May 4) on several roadways in Montgomery and Bucks counties, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation said today.

Motorists in Upper Gwynedd, Lower Gwynedd and Montgomery townships may face slowdowns when traveling on Route 202 between Swedesford Road and Route 63 (Welsh Road) and on Route 63 (Welsh Road) between Stump Road and North Wales Road on Monday through Friday (April 30-May 4) from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. for road widening construction.

Intermittent lane closures also are scheduled Monday through Friday (April 30-May 4) from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Route 152 (Limekiln Pike) between Stump Road and Route 202 (Butler Pike) in New Britain and Warrington townships and on County Line Road between Upper State Road and Stump Road in New Britain, Warrington and Montgomery townships for road construction.

The ongoing installation of Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) components for the new Parkway will result in lane and shoulder closures Monday through Thursday (April 30-May 3). The schedule is:

• Southbound Route 202 Bypass shoulder closure between the East State Street and Route 611 interchanges from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

• Southbound Route 611 Bypass shoulder closure between the Limekiln Road/North West Street and Route 202 interchanges from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.; and

• Route 202 (Butler Avenue) lane closures between Route 309 (Bethlehem Pike) and Route 611 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Drivers should anticipate delays and add extra time for travel through the construction areas. All planned activities are contingent on the weather.
