US 30 to Matlack St. US 30 to Matlack St.

This section of US 202 is a four-lane, limited access expressway with closely spaced interchanges. There is no active project to widen this section of US 202.

PennDOT began construction in May 2010 on a $19.3 million project to rehabilitate and resurface 4.3 miles of Route 202 between the Route 100 Interchange and High Street. The project is scheduled to finish in May 2012. The improvement project consists of replacing deteriorated concrete pavement and resurfacing the four-lane expressway and ramps; reconstructing roadway shoulders; patching and repairing eight bridges; painting steel beams on three bridges; removing and replacing five overhead sign structures; installing new highway signs; installing new guide rail and median barrier; and installing safety rumble strips and pavement reflectors.

In 2009-10, PennDOT plans to repair and resurface six miles of US 202 between the US 30 and Route 100 interchanges in East Whiteland, West Whiteland and West Goshen townships.

In 1998-99, PennDOT invested $4.2 million to repair and resurface US 202 between the US 30/Exton Bypass Interchange and Matlack Street in West Whiteland, East Goshen and West Goshen townships, Chester County. The project also included the paving of interchange ramps and concrete replacement at the Matlack Street intersection.
