U.S. 202 South Lane, Ramp Restrictions Next Weekend for Construction in Chester County

King of Prussia, PA – Southbound U.S. 202 and the ramp to U.S. 30/Exton Bypass each will be reduced from two lanes-to-one next weekend for concrete pavement repairs in East Whiteland and West Whiteland townships, Chester County, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.

From 8:00 PM Friday, June 22, through 12:00 PM Sunday, June 24, the right through lane on southbound U.S. 202 will be closed at the U.S. 30/Exton Bypass Interchange along with the left lane of the two-lane ramp to U.S. 30/Exton Bypass.

These restrictions will allow the contractor to remove and replace sections of deteriorated concrete pavement.

Motorists are advised that backups may occur at times approaching the work zone. All schedule activities are weather permitting.

The work is part of PennDOT’s $26.4 million project to rehabilitate the northbound and southbound U.S. 202 bridges over Amtrak and the U.S. 30/Exton Bypass ramp, and replace the concrete pavement on the ramps to and from U.S. 202 and U.S. 30/Exton Bypass. The entire project is expected to be completed in fall 2019.
