U.S. 1, U.S. 202 Ramp Restricted Next Week for Bridge Inspections in Montgomery and Philadelphia Cou
King of Prussia, PA – Lane closures are scheduled next week on U.S. 1 in Philadelphia and U.S. 202 ramp in Montgomery County, for bridge inspections, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.
The work schedule is:
Wednesday, September 25, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM, a left lane closure is scheduled on the ramp from southbound U.S. 202 to eastbound Interstate 76 in Upper Merion Township, Montgomery County; and
Friday, September 27, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, a right lane closure is scheduled on northbound U.S. 1 (Roosevelt Boulevard Expressway) between the Wissahickon Avenue and I-76 interchanges in Philadelphia.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because slowdowns will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
The inspections are part of PennDOT’s program to inspect bridges at least once every two years to ensure the safety and overall condition of the structures.
