ITS Construction Begins Next Week on U.S. 202 South (Dekalb Pike) in Montgomery Township

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) construction will begin next week on southbound U.S. 202 (Dekalb Pike) in Montgomery Township, Montgomery County.

Motorists are advised of the following travel restriction:

  • Monday, March 20, through Thursday, April 3, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a right lane closure will be in place weekdays on southbound U.S. 202 (Dekalb Pike) between Knapp Road and Gwynmont Drive.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work area because backups and delays may occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.

Motorists can check conditions on more than 40,000 roadway miles, including color-coded winter conditions on 2,900 miles, by visiting 511PA, which is free and available 24 hours a day, provides traffic delay warnings, weather forecasts, traffic speed information and access to more than 1,000 traffic cameras.
